Too excited to sleep . . . rewarded by simply awesome light! Arrived late into the evening to the Dead Sea, but was able to scout a few locations before the light completely disappeared.

Told myself - "self - no matter what, get up at 4am and head out!"   The difference from shooting in the SF Bay Area, is that even at 4:30, the temperature was 30C+ (86F) and not 7C (45F). It allowed me to really appreciate the moment, even when I wasn't shooting.

The Dead Sea is truly a magical place; at 1500' below sea level, the light is completely different than what I've experienced anywhere else on earth (but if you have - let me know in the comments section!)

First Rain - 2015 was very dry in California. Even though I live in an urban environment - I see the impact when I fly. Surprisingly at 37,000' or down low at a macro level the landscape looks very similar.
